Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 2025
ThaiTransfers ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use and protect it when you use our platform.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly when creating an account, making a booking, or contacting support. This includes your name, email address, phone number, payment details, and flight information.
We also collect information automatically when you use our platform, including your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, and booking history.
When you use our booking form, we collect pickup location, destination, travel date, number of passengers, and any extras selected.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal data to process and confirm bookings, assign drivers, send booking confirmations and receipts, and provide customer support.
With your consent, we may use your email address to send promotional offers, travel tips, and service updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
We use aggregated, anonymised data to improve our platform, analyse usage patterns, and develop new features.
We may use your contact details to notify you of important changes to our services, terms, or policies.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers located within the European Economic Area (EEA) and/or Thailand, depending on the service provider.
We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security audits.
Payment card data is never stored on our servers. All payment processing is handled by Stripe, which maintains PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
5. Third-Party Services
We share your booking details with the assigned driver and our transport partners solely to fulfil your transfer.
We use Stripe for payment processing. Stripe has its own privacy policy and data practices, which we encourage you to review.
We use Mapbox for mapping and location services. Location data used in searches is not permanently stored.
We may share data with analytics providers (in anonymised form) to understand platform usage and improve our services.
We will disclose personal data to law enforcement or regulatory authorities when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You may do this through your account settings or by contacting us.
You have the right to object to or restrict processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes.
You have the right to data portability — to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
You have the right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
If you are in the EEA, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
